According to this article, Cheryl Cole will team up with Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell on the U.S. version of X Factor.  "If people take to her (Cole) like the British public did, I think she's going to do really well in America. And Fox was desperate to hire her," Simon Cowell said. 

Cowell added that he would like Cole to join him, although the former Girls Aloud singer and a judge on the U.K. version of "X Factor" is virtually unknown in the United States. Could Cheryl Cole be the next American Sweetheart?
